- Job Description Serves as the liaison between the department and the legislature providing comprehensive responses to legislative inquiries. Provides support to the Baker Administration in advancing the important initiatives of the department’s mission in protecting natural resources. Serves as the department’s environmental justice coordinator to establish the department’s EJ policy and respond to public inquiry. Provides the Commissioner with sound policy, legislative guidance and strategy. Tracks important legislation and provide insight on legislative process. Establishes relationships with legislators and staff and educate them on the importance of the departments policy initiatives. Prepares budgetary and legislative talking points as well as testimony.
